To Our Readers
Welcome to the first issue of Town Creek Poetry. Town Creek arose out of a conversation that took place between us in early winter of 2006. We were reluctant to execute our
plan:
a digital all-poetry journal. An abundance of e-journals already exist, many of them very good.
Nevertheless, our goal was to create a poetry journal that reflected standards of the best print periodicals. We especially thank Jake Adam York for his time. He sacrificed many hours thoughtfully responding to our interview questions, and his answers have helped make our first issue something special. We would also like to thank Stephen Gardner, Sue Scalf, L. Ward Abel, Lana Ayers, and Dan Morris for their great work. We are honored to publish their poems in our first issue.
